liverpool - swanseaLiverpool will hope to continue their recent revival when they take on struggling Swansea on Sunday.

The Reds have lost just one of their last 15 games in all competitions and were convincing 4-1 winners away to Manchester City last weekend.

That win was followed up by a 2-1 success at home to Bordeaux in the Europa League, the three points securing their place in the knock-out stages of the competition.

It is not all good news for the Reds however with Daniel Sturridge a doubt ahead of the game. The England forward withdrew shortly before the clash with Bordeaux on Thursday citing a foot problem.

liverpool face Swansea

The player was sent for a scan that evening and it remains to be seen if he will make his latest comeback on Sunday.

The player has struggled in the last 18 months with a plethora of injuries with the this latest setback leading to manager Jurgen Klopp saying the player must learn “what is serious pain and what is only pain” in order to overcome his constant injury woes.

Speaking on Friday, the German told reporters “Everyone wants him back on the pitch but we all have to learn,”

“The situation is Daniel was very often injured in the last few months, and maybe years, so it is normal when you get back in training usually it is not the quality, but you need training.

“Your body has to learn to adapt to new intensities of training and in this time you have to learn what is serious pain and what is only pain.”

In addition to potentially missing Sturridge, Liverpool will be without the suspended Lucas while Phillipe Coutinho is also a doubt.

Joe Allen is the favourite to replace Lucas with Jordan Henderson not yet ready for a return to action while Christian Benteke, scorer of what proved to the winner against Bordeaux could continue upfront alongside Robert Firmino.

Adam Lallana is likely to replace Jordan Ibe while Martin Skrtel will come back into the side at the expense of Kolo Toure.

Swansea meanwhile will be without former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey through suspension.

The Swans have won just one of their last five games but have lost just one of their last 9 away games and are suddenly looking devoid of ideas going forward.

Predictably, Liverpool are overwhelming favourites coming into the game and it would take a shrewd punter not to pile into the 1/2 available on the home win.

However here at freebetshere.com we’re looking for that little bit of extra value and really fancy the Reds to win by a minimum of 2 goals.

Paddy Power are offering Liverpool with -1 handicap at a mouth watering price of 13/10 and thats plenty big enough to get us involved.

Swansea look a tired side at the moment and its not surprising as they now have a wealth of international talent on display.

Neil Taylor, Ashley Williams, Gylfi Sigardsson, Jonjo Shelvey, Jefferson Montero and more all represent their national sides, and with a squad short on quality, these players start every week.

The early season goals of Bafetemi Gomis have also dried up, and we know of more than a few Swansea fans who are nervously looking over their shoulder.

Garry Monk is a man under pressure, and his plan of making plenty of changes last week, most notably Eder coming in for Gomis, almost backfired spectacularly as Bournemouth took an early 2 goal advantage, only for the Swans to bounce back.

Clearly though these are two sides going in opposite directions, with Liverpool playing with a new found confidence and spark under Klopp, while Swansea are looking devoid of ideas.

Jonjo Shelvey will be suspended for this game and he will clearly be missed in the centre of the park.

Liverpool should win this comfortably and that 13/10 on the home win with Paddy Power looks to juicy a price to ignore.

Get on it.
